Motive Behind the Benazir Nashonuma Program

There is a child feeding problem going on in Pakistan because so many children are malnourished (40.2% are stunted, 28.9% are underweight, and 17.7% are wasting).  With this much hunger, Pakistan is the 2nd nation with the most malnutrition in the area.
When a child is born, the first 1,000 days are a golden age for building a strong base for future success.  At this point, there are a lot of changes happening, and the child’s brain growth is very flexible.  Human capital is built through investments made in the early years of life.  In today’s market, human capital is a key source of economic growth.
